Mateja Blaznik is a classically educated guitarist however, with enough of ideas, will and courage to keep her work easily recognizable. Her collaboration with the band Tantadruj and Boštjan Soklič gave her a possibility to develop her own musical expression. Mateja`s songs are permeated with the spirit of minimalism; she selects clear and understandable lyrics, nevertheless her performance is luxurious. Nowadays when we barely have time for anything, suddenly a record »Lullaby for vagabonds« appears, demands a moment of attention, and surely gets it.

The music of Mateja Blaznik makes us stop for a while, to quiet down ... and forget rushing. The record is neither classic nor pop. It`s not new or old., but outside of time. It is humble and fragile, nevertheless strong music offered in a minimal manner. One of the rare pearls of modern Slovenian musical tender.
